Carter Efe made the revelation during an interview while discussing his long-running exchanges involving Wizkid and his interest in participating in an entertainment boxing match with the singer.
According to the content creator, Davido personally reached out to him and firmly cautioned him against making insulting remarks about Wizkid.
“Don’t ever, don’t ever in your life insult him again!" "That people think that he’s the one sending me.” Carter Efe quoted said.
He said he immediately apologised to Davido and promised not to repeat the comments.
“I’m sorry daddy, I will never do it,” Carter Efe said, recalling his response.
The content creator further confirmed that Davido specifically told him not to insult Wizkid when asked whether the singer had ever cautioned him about his comments.
The revelation came while Carter Efe was asked which celebrity he would like to face in an entertainment boxing match.
He named Wizkid but clarified that he was referring to a celebrity boxing bout rather than an actual physical fight.
“No, because it is a celebrity fight. He’s a celebrity too, well I’m a celebrity too. I want us to just be on the same ring together. Let’s just, let’s just, let’s just do the entertainment boxing,” he said.
When asked whether his issues with Wizkid had anything to do with Davido, Carter Efe quickly denied the suggestion.
“No! No!” he replied before recounting the warning he received from Davido.
